About This Hosting Business

In 2016, this hosting business came into play because of a strong idea, that Jonathan Candler had in his head.

What if I can run something that is free, but affordable at the same time?

And that's when it all started. It started from hosting a site at this site that a friend of his started and this person loves what they do.

It came from that, to hosting a bunch of other things. Like TeamTalk servers, IceCast servers and the like. and this, is what we're all about.

Affordable, yet professional. but, don't worry, it's all good. Ninety-nine percent uptime is promised, and if you don't like us, we do understand and we will take your stuff off our servers as soon as possible.

What we do is the following listed below.

Free Services

If you want to run completely free, you'll get a sub domain under the jc-hosting.me domain.

for example, example.jc-hosting.me

• IceCast server hosting. If you want something to stream on, we got you covered. We don't do automation hosting, but we do IceCast server hosting for people who would just like a place to stream on. You get to pick and choose your ports, or you may have staff set one up for you automatically. Its your choice.
• TeamTalk server hosting. This, is fully custumised hosting to where you will be given admin access with your own username and password, ports if you want as well. Also, you can fully custumise your servers to what you want them to be. No strings attached. Note: file sharing is disabled by default. To have it enabled for your TeamTalk server, please make this request with a member of staff, either at the time of registration, or in future when services are all set up.
• Web hosting. If you wish to have a web site hosted, we offer this at no additional cost to you. You will get 5 gigabytes of storage, and may freely design the site as you wish. You may also request for additional features, such as a content management system to be installed for your web site. We will ensure it is working properly upon installation.

Policy: User Freedom

We believe that everyone has the right to own their requested services if they are hosting with us; therefore, we do not do anything without the customer's explicit permission. We believe that once you have your services the way you request it, it should be all yours and we do not do anything. We just set it up, you get your information for getting access to the service, and you are at liberty to do with it as you like.

that being said, if you need help with something regarding your service, we will go in there and fix what could be wrong with it, but that's all we'll do. In fact, we will tell you what actions are being taken as we are performing repairs, that way you know exactly what we are doing.

Payed services.

If you are wanting extra storage than the 5-gigabyte storage offer, or if you want your own top level domain, there is pricing for these additions. Do not worry, it's affordable.

Top-Level Domain

Depending on the suffix of the domain, such as .com, .net, or .org or similar, prices may vary; however, if you want a .com domain, only 11 dollars per year.

If a top level domain is aquired, you may login to our client control panel area and have control of your domain. You'll have access to creating databases, email addresses for that domain, and more. Credential login is usually the same as your FTP login, but that can be changed if desired.

Additional Storage

If you want additional storage, contact us for pricing. This request varies, in terms of pricing. the general pricing is that each additional gigabyte a customer requests is approximately 1 dollar per month. The additional storage is applied to the 5 gigabytes free option, so 1 gigabyte added would now give you, the customer, 6 gigabytes. Additionally, if you, the customer, has file sharing enabled for, say, a TeamTalk server, the storage upgrade applies to that service as well.
